Halifax Housing Market Outlook (2024)

“Our move to Nova Scotia is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! Our friends who lived there joked about how much more relaxed we would be if we relocated. And they were right. Even though we both have full-time jobs and lead a busy life in downtown Halifax, we walk to work. The ‘down time’ can’t be beat — we are close to the most beautiful beaches, parks, and hiking trails. And our kids’ universities can’t be beat.”

What got you into photography? Becoming a photographer just fell into my life. I bought a decent camera and started learning from YouTube — and eventually shooting buildings and spaces. It turned into a great career so far.

What do you love about capturing images? The satisfaction of catching the moment that gives people the sense of happiness.

Who are your photographic mentors? Jeff Cooke, Karl Taylor — just to name two.

What makes a great image? Something that takes someone on a journey, your journey.

What are your favourite subjects to photograph? Landscapes are my favourite, but building exteriors for my day-to-day work.
